Ian Campbell, Chief Operating Officer, iCONECT Development LLC is the co-founder of iCONECT Development and has been developing an implementing new technologies and tactical strategies in the litigation support arena for over a decade. He is often engaged as a consultant on major international legal projects and is frequently requested as a keynote speaker, sharing his thoughts, ideas, and experiences with audiences for the American Bar Association, LegalTech, ILTA, AIIM, EDRM, and other legal and management groups around the world. Peter Coons, Senior Vice President, D4 manages the day-to-day operations of D4, which provides computer forensics and electronic discovery services. He has 14 years of experience in legal technology including orchestrating large scale electronic collections relating to litigation, audits, or regulatory requests, media restoration, processing and production of electronic data, and various forensic and litigation support tools. He has testified as a computer forensic expert witness and has been appointed by a Federal District Court as a neutral third party forensic examiner. Peter is an EnCase Certified Examiner, an AccessData Certified Examiner, a Certified Computer Examiner (computer forensic certificates) and is a member of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) – the professional organization for persons involved in computer forensics.

Rachael Chadwick, Senior E-Discovery Analyst & Project Manager, Wortzman Nickle manages e-discovery projects and provides litigation support to law firms and corporations. Prior to joining Wortzman Nickle, Rachael practiced for 11 years at one of Canada’s leading litigation law firms where she pioneered a litigation support role and spearheaded an e-discovery committee. Rachael’s interest in e-discovery sparked at Commonwealth Legal’s first litigation support conference held in 2004 and her passion for e-discovery continues to this day.

Michael Condé, National Director of Litigation Support, Borden Ladner Gervais LLP is responsible for managing litigation support and eDiscovery services across 5 offices of the firm. He has provided a wide range of litigation support and legal technology services to law firms and corporate law departments – both in-house and as a consultant – in Canada and the U.K. for over 25 years. Suzan Mitchell-Scott, Litigation Support Manager, Blake Cassells & Graydon LLP is very knowledgeable in eDiscovery and the various protocols that affect the litigation process. She assists with the development of protocols to meet the requirements of the Litigation Group and IT Department. She consults on the management of documentary databases involving paper and electronic documents. As the Litigation Support Manager for the Litigation Group, Suzan oversees the technology needs of the department.

Michelle Nash, President, M. Nash Consulting is a senior litigation law clerk and consultant specializing in document intensive litigation. Glenn Smith, Senior Partner, Lenczner Slaght Royce Smith Griffin LLP is one of the five founding partners of the firm and has a varied commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on class actions and complex insurance litigation. He is recognized as a guru in eDiscovery in Canada and was on the Ontario Task Force for implementing the Ontario e-Discovery Guidelines. He is currently on the Editorial Board of Sedona Canada which drafted the Sedona Canada Principles addressing Electronic Discovery in Canada. He has lectured and written on directors and officer’s liability, class actions, eDiscovery and insurance law.

Carla Swansburg, Senior Counsel, RBC Law Group manages complex litigation involving Royal Bank Financial Group and many of its subsidiaries throughout the world, including RBC’s network of International Wealth Management offices throughout the US, Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. Carla handles commercial claims and class actions relating to fraud, banking, securities, breach of trust among other matters. She frequently leads or supports internal investigations including multijurisdictional matters and advises business partners on litigation risks, and leads RBC’s e-Discovery planning and initiatives. Carla frequently speaks on topics such as ADR, privilege, litigation management, eDiscovery and managing the costs of legal services. Carla is the Past President of the Ontario Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Melanie Schweizer, Senior Legal Counsel, Bell Canada/BCE practices commercial litigation consisting of both supervising outside counsel and handling litigation matters in-house (including class actions). Prior to joining Bell, Melanie practiced commercial litigation with an emphasis on class actions at a litigation boutique in Toronto. Melanie has handled electronic discovery in the context of files handled both in-house and by external counsel and has spoken extensively on matters related to electronic discovery. Melanie is a member of Sedona Working Group 7 and is a member of the steering committee of Sedona Canada.

Jason Woycheshyn, Associate, Bennett Jones LLP has co-authored several conference papers relating to litigation matters and has been published in the Annual Review of Civil Litigation and the National Banking Law Review. As a former lawyer with the Edmonton office of Bennett Jones, he acted as defence counsel in numerous medical malpractice trials, including compromised baby cases. His litigation practice includes corporate/commercial litigation, securities litigation, estate litigation, health law and professional negligence disputes.
